An Architectural Photography Portfolio

About the Project
This project was commenced in late 2013. The idea is influenced by three main ideas: the teardown of the GrahamStreet market, which is the oldest survival street market in Hong Kong; collective memory - people usually cluster at the markets to buy things, especially before the rise of the supermarket; also, there is not any series of documentation or archival quality images can be easily found. Hence, it stimulates the idea for me to photograph for the markets in Hong Kong. Therefore, utilizing photography is one of the ways to keep the memory and as preservation for the market before they are vanished. Reasons for shooting markets in Hong Kong are for archival documentation in a variety of perspectives to preserve the forms of variety, from street markets to municipal building that the markets in Hong Kong have. One of his work was even exhibited at Musée du Louvre under the Exposure Award 2015 Program.
